Ugh, I hate teaching that stuff to students as most of them stare at me with this look of “what the heck is going on.” I just started magnetic fields in my AP 2 class and they spent the last period convinced that I was trolling them with the equations, I am so glad I don’t have to teach AP C E&M this year.

Turns out synchrophasors are pretty important for my job, as they represent the next frontier of power grid data collection and dispatch coordination. Fortunately, I just need to look at their economic impact and PMU ROI, rather than the physics.

Going to be? I’ve been a power market economist for over three years.

My class is the ME component, the school doesn't have the slots for scheduling Both ME and E&M:(

Lemme guess this is your equivalent of 2+2=4: Ce^k*t where k is the Ln of some variable

The school I teach at doesn’t either, due to being a small independent school. My only real Physics classes are AP 1 and AP 2 with a student doing AP C Mech by independent study.
For the record I hate the book you are using, mostly due to having to use one of Serway’s first Calc based books in college and it being TERRIBLE!
I have my student using Sears and Zemansky (I think I spelled that right) or Giancoli depending on the section he is doing. Many books have some strong chapters and some weak chapters.
Do you get the joy of webassign?

Private high school...
My teacher is THE stereotypical physics teacher (Single man in his late 50's early 60's, wears Spongebob Glasses and ties), so no he doesn't utilize webassign. Also he's on the um, ASD spectrum (we think) and DEFINETELY has ADHD (he cannot focus when there are other people talking). But when he's on, HOLY SHIT ITS AWESOME. He thinks on a completely different level which is cool because I've never had a teacher like that.

I taught in public school for over 10 years before jumping to the private school. That is long enough to realize I was burning out teaching classes of 30+ students introductory Physics.
I absolutely understand how you feel about your instructor. He is old school enough that he can probably do most or all of it in his head and to quote one of my students “it feels like black gypsy magic” when he just looks at an answer and goes yeah that is correct without writing anything down.
I can do that some of the time but its mostly because I can estimate and my students largely cannot, and it makes me sad.

If k is the ln of something that whole expression would simplify to...wait.
I see what you did there.
